«Needs» is a capsule collection for the brand «Ceramic Smokes», inspired by the savage creatures of Vladimir’s white-chamber carvings — the lion, Sirin, and the mermaid.

The Bleeding of Suzdal is an outstanding example of an architectural decorator from the 12th to the XIVth centuries. The facades of buildings made of white stone were adorned with complex carvings, depicting humans, animals, plants, and mythical creatures.
The Vladimir lion, shown on the «Ceramic Smoke» logo, as well as the bird Sirin and the mermaid, became the foundation of the collection, sinking us into the mysterious atmosphere of fairy tales, faiths, and tales.

Given the style of the Ceramic Smoke brands, some of the items from the set are accompanied not only by bright decor, but also by Russian messengers and sayings, creating a funny atmosphere.

The color gamma of the project is blue and white. Such a decision is inspired by the color of the paintings of the old ointment furnaces, one of the most beautiful and recognizable objects of Russian interior as Susdal is rich. Paints covered the frosting of cobalt oxide, giving deep blue colour, and described patterns with plant motives or mythological plots. Technology came from Holland and quickly adapted to Russian traditions. The popularity of such paintings is a Baroque era, when cobalt became a symbol of luxury. Today, the home decorator shows a tendency to write dishes in blue color in the spirit of old-fashioned stories.
