Project Author: Tagir Gubayev
Organization: Eco-City Regional Operator LLC
Geography: Republic of Bashkortostan
Reach: 100
Description: The Eco-Assistant for Yandex Browser is an extension that helps residents of Bashkortostan properly sort waste right at the moment of online purchases. It shows exactly which container an item should be sent to, providing clear instructions with a single click. The project fosters eco-friendly habits, making sorting simple and accessible to everyone, and makes a real contribution to the cleanliness of our region.
Project Plan: My project is actively being refined—we are expanding the database and improving the product analysis algorithms. Upcoming plans include launching a version for Google Chrome so the extension becomes available to all Russian users through the official store. This will allow us to scale sustainable habits beyond the Republic of Bashkortostan and engage residents across the country in conscious consumption.
Result: The testing results indicated that participants not only became aware of the value of end-of-life goods but also changed their purchasing approach. They now evaluate not just the price, but also the complexity of future disposal, choosing products that are easier to disassemble into components. This proves that the expansion fosters conscious consumption in practice, not just in theory.
