ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Elizaveta Neganova. I work with object design, interiors, and architecture.I’m interested in exploring how familiar things can take on new forms and meanings. I’m especially drawn to the connection between fashion, textiles, cultural heritage, and space. To me, fashion goes far beyond clothing. It can be found in patterns, materials, objects, interiors, and even architecture. This portfolio brings together four projects that explore this idea at different scales. We begin with a single object, move through interior and museum design, and end with the transformation of a historic textile factory.

Four projects. Four scales. One idea.
From Pattern to Place.

01 / THE PATTERN

Ornament — Furniture Design
Can a traditional pattern become part of contemporary design without losing its identity?

post

Russian ornament is more than decoration. It is a visual language that carries history, tradition, and cultural memory. The project began with research into traditional patterns from northern Russia. Inspired by these motifs, I developed my own ornament and adapted it to the forms and surfaces of cabinet furniture.

My goal was not simply to decorate an object, but to make the pattern part of its character and visual identity. This project explores how cultural heritage can find a new expression in contemporary object design.

02 / THE EXPERIENCE

Fashion as a Spatial Experience
What if the runway wasn’t just for models?

We usually experience fashion through clothing, collections, and runway shows. But I wanted to explore how the interior itself could become part of the performance. The concept creates a space where the boundary between spectator and participant begins to disappear. A long runway becomes the central element — a place not only to watch fashion, but to become part of it.

An exhibition hall, student design shop, workshops, lecture spaces, and a café come together to create a dynamic environment where fashion becomes part of everyday life. For me, this project is an exploration of how interior design can shape emotions and create new ways for people to interact with space.

Don’t just watch fashion. Be part of it.

03 / THE MEMORY

Fabric That Holds Stories
Can a simple piece of fabric tell the story of an entire life?

Textiles have been part of our lives since the very beginning. We rarely think about it, but familiar fabrics, patterns, and everyday objects carry memories, traditions, and fragments of our identity. This idea became the starting point for my Textile Design Museum project.

post

I wanted to create more than a building for exhibitions — a space where fabric becomes a medium of memory. Through architecture and exhibition design, the museum explores the relationship between people, materials, and time. While developing the project, I explored how intangible ideas — memory, heritage, and personal stories — could be translated into architectural form.

Fabric preserves memories. Architecture gives them space.

04 / THE FUTURE

More Than a Factory
Can fashion bring new life to a place once built around textiles?

Исходный размер 1920x1080

The Kamyshevo Factory was once more than a place of production. It played a central role in the life of an entire village. Over time, the factory lost its original purpose, leaving behind an industrial heritage waiting for a new chapter. My graduation project reimagines this historic site while preserving its industrial identity.
