Project Author: Green Prize Nominees
Organization: River Movement
Geography: Krasnoturyinsk
Project Description: The Festival of Good Deeds is held at a shopping and entertainment complex. As part of the festival, activities are implemented that aim to develop the community’s environmental culture (toy, book, and jewelry exchanges, bottle cap sorting, collection of small fractions of recycled materials for subsequent processing, collection of umbrellas and jeans for upcycling, lectures, workshops, tabletop eco-games, and an exhibition featuring adoptable animals). Thanks to the regularity and variety of activities, the process of informational enlightenment and immersion in ecological practices occurs gently but effectively. The number of co-organizers, volunteers, and festival participants indicates the high demand for this event.
Quantitative results: 2,000 participants
Tangible Outcomes: The project united people around the idea of caring for nature, strengthened partnerships, and inspired new volunteers. Participants' environmental literacy increased, and sustainable habits of responsible behavior and mutual aid were formed.
Project Goal: Our goal is to implement eco-innovations and actively work on projects involving the integration of renewable energy sources and the development of environmental education. We strive to unite society and business
Project Plans: The newly introduced activity formats (masterclasses and lectures) are receiving significant positive feedback; we need to test increasing the volume of these activities. To expand audience reach, we will test supplementing with online formats (recording and releasing masterclass videos, livestreaming lectures, and developing informational products accessible outside the event). We will analyze and test the possibility of increasing the number of fractions of recycled raw materials accepted. Organizing consultation support.
