Hi! I’m Lilit, an illustrator from Moscow, and I study Illustration at the HSE Art and Design School.
I’m always looking for the funny side of things, even the most ordinary ones. That’s how most of my projects start: something small catches my eye, and suddenly there’s a whole world with its own weird little characters.
I draw with coloured pencils, make collages, work digitally, and often mix it all together. I also do the layout and animation myself, so I can take a story from the very first sketch all the way to the finished project.
If you have a story that needs pictures, I’d love to help!
A story about cockroaches
Illustrated longread based on a fairy tale by Venya D’rkin, 2025

Once upon a time, people lived side by side with white fluffy cockroaches. They were kind and good, and they shared the table with humans. Then a wizard got offended that nobody invited him to the princess’s wedding, and cast a curse: whoever kisses the princess today will crumble into a hundred thousand nasty creatures. One little fluffy cockroach heard it and tried to save the prince.

The House at 12/4 Malaya Pionerskaya
Illustrated longread about the HSE Art and Design School building, 2025
Our school building has a long and twisty history. A boy and a girl travel through layers of time, chatting along the way. From their conversation you find out what this house has been over the last hundred years: a factory of church utensils, a Soviet plant, and now a university.Myths, real events and forgotten names get mixed together, and the past keeps breaking through the brick.
Bugventures (Bukashestvo)
Сompetition brief: prints and merch for Elizabethan Children’s Hospice, 2026
The brief was to create prints and graphics for the hospice’s merch and souvenirs that show what it stands for: care, warmth and support. I drew three little stories about caterpillars, bees and ants. Tiny insects who look after each other became a symbol of people who do the same.
That’s what the hospice is about: being there, helping, and bringing joy even when things are really hard.
Billiard Disco
Collage series + AR lenses, 2025
What if billiard balls went to a disco instead of a pool table? In this series, billiard gear turns into disco outfits, and the balls bump into each other on a dance floor under a mirror ball. Rolling balls has never been this glamorous. I made the collages from denim, kraft paper, cardboard, foil and coloured paper.
Then I wanted the characters to actually dance. I created AR lenses that bring them to life and throw them a real party. At the time, the collages were hanging in the Dorozhka billiard club, so the lenses were a fun way to get visitors to notice the exhibition.

Let’s make something together!
