WHO AM I hi I am amina abdin babayeva, visual storyteller currently studying at HSE Art and Design school. My whole life i was interested in telling stories of others and sharing my own experiences though visual art. I have strong experience in directing animation, storyline development in scripts and pitching my ideas for further promotion. I have also worked on every step in animation production process: longline, script, storyboard, character design, animatic, montage and pitching presentations. My portfolio consists mainly short animated films, but also animated music videos and advertisements for various communities and businesses.
My main audience has always been people of interest in creative writing, animation and video art. I am also keen on making some collaborative projects with people directly from creative industries, such as musicians, writers and artists.

The film, categorized as «documentary animation» explores the complex relationship between a mother and daughter, the bond across generations, and the immersion into another’s past. The film incorporates recordings of real dialogues that inspired the creation of this animation.

Two friends have been working together on a project for a long time. A ridiculous misunderstanding drives a wedge between them, setting off a chain of terrible events.
CARRY-ON
An animated commercial created to promote the luggage-wrapping service at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku. At the heart of the story is a little suitcase that embarks on a journey from being lost to becoming a hero. Each part of the story is brought to life through a distinct visual style: a whimsical, vividly coloured fairytale and an action sequence rendered in high-contrast black-and-white graphics.
The flame of hopelessness
An animated music video for the artist MUSAGET. A young man riding a bus spots a girl in a car nearby and begins imagining a better version of his life. Yet even in his own fantasies, he cannot seem to catch the attention of the mysterious girl. He hears her voice but can never quite reach her. As the story unfolds, his frustration turns into obsession, and he begins to lose his mind, convinced that he is being led on, until he finally spirals into his own imagination.
If only it would be easy
How often do you find yourself contemplating the complexity of the world around you? Have you ever wished that «everything could be simpler»? My animation is a contemplative story about the lightness of an imagined world — a world we all sometimes find ourselves dreaming of.
A Place For Art
The peaceful life of an ordinary household rug comes to an end when new tenants move into its home. Will our protagonist be able to find his place in this world? A metaphorical story about the journey of self-discovery that every soul must undertake.
