I’m Nika — a multidisciplinary game developer.
I love curious ideas, weird little details, and finding unexpected ways to bring things together.I work across: — Game design & unusual mechanics — Unreal Engine 5 development — Sound design & music composition — Narrative designI enjoy bringing different disciplines together to create engaging and immersive player experiences.
Tools
— Unreal Engine 5; — Ableton Live 12; — Adobe CS; — Diversion / GitHub.

Selected projects
The projects below showcase my experience across different areas of game development. I can adapt to different roles, quickly learn new tools and workflows, and take on challenges outside my usual skill set. I’ m always open to exploring new disciplines and bringing fresh perspectives to a project.
OTARA | Game-development
A shepherd, a flock, and a mountain that turns against you.
OTARA is a 3D survival game about a shepherd trying to survive in a remote mountain village. By day, the sheep help protect him from dangerous nature anomalies. By night, they transform into bloodthirsty monsters. The player must care for the flock, survive the night, and make their way toward the mountain peak.On this mountain, the sheep are both your greatest threat and your only defense.

Goal Is to turn game’s central idea into a playable experience where the relationship between the shepherd, the flock, and the hostile environment drives the gameplay. My tasks: • Game concept development; • Narrative development; • Day-and-night cycle implementation; • Narrative system programming; • Player controls and camera setup; • UI implementation.

Result
I’ve been developing OTARA for two years, working on the game’s concept, gameplay mechanics, and narrative.I developed the systems using blueprint-programming and plugins for Unreal Engine 5. I also worked on the controls, camera, and UI, helping connect the individual systems into a cohesive experience.

Rather than building each feature in isolation, I focused on creating expandable systems that could support further development of the game. The result is a working game prototype that brings together the core gameplay, narrative, and technical foundations of OTARA.

OTARA | Sound-design
Making the mountain feel alive.

Goal Is to make the sound in OTARA not just there to accompany the visuals. The main goal is the creation of sound that helps establish the atmosphere of the mountain and shape how the player experiences the game world. My tasks: • Original gameplay music composition; • Trailer music composition; • Audio implementation in Unreal Engine 5.

I composed original music for both gameplay and trailers, bringing the project’s musical identity into its different contexts. I also worked with audio implementation in Unreal Engine 5, creating soundscapes for the game’s locations.
