Big ideas.
Expressive characters.

Hi! I’m an illustrator who loves figuring things out.
Back in school, I was the kind of student who genuinely enjoyed making notes. But organizing all that information was only half the fun — making it look interesting was even better! That curiosity never really went away.Today, I combine my love for research and drawing to turn complex subjects into visual stories. I’m especially passionate about comics, character design, and bringing characters to life through their expressions and interactions. And while I love drawing, I also enjoy the challenge of figuring out how everything fits together. What makes my work tick?
01. Stay curious.
I love exploring unfamiliar subjects and breaking down complex information. For me, understanding what I’m drawing is just as important as drawing it well.02. Let characters do the talking.
Expressions, gestures, and interactions can tell a story without a single word. I love creating characters that feel alive and make even complicated subjects more approachable.03. Good work is a team effort.
I enjoy collaborating with writers, editors, and other creatives. Feedback is part of the process, and I’m always ready to find a solution that makes the final work better. How I work | What Is Science? In Comics
Publisher: A Walk Through History Year: 2026 My role: Character Design & Comic Illustration
Goal
Make science feel alive. The goal was to illustrate complex scientific ideas in a way that would be accessible and engaging for young readers, using expressive characters and visual storytelling.1/2
Flow
I was responsible for character design and comic illustration, working from a script written by another author. My focus was on bringing the characters to life through their expressions, body language, and interactions.

Challenge
Balancing creativity and editorial requirements. As my first major publishing project, this book introduced me to the challenges of working with an editorial team. Some panels needed to be adjusted or completely redrawn, so I had to find new visual solutions while keeping the story consistent and meeting deadlines.

How I work | LaLaLamps
Client: Vernye Slova Year: 2024 Collaboration: Vera Somsikova
Goal
Make learning a little more fun. LaLaLamps is a collaborative educational illustration project consisting of two posters and eight illustrated cards. The project explores how playful characters and clear visual communication can make educational content more approachable.

Flow
I was responsible for character design and organizing and adapting the text.Vera focused on color and layout. We worked closely together, combining our strengths to develop the final illustrations and educational materials.

Challenge
Less space, same meaning. One of the main challenges was working with large amounts of text in a limited format. I needed to shorten and organize the information without losing its original meaning, while leaving enough room for the illustrations.

Result
We combined expressive character illustrations with concise text and a consistent visual approach. The characters helped make the materials playful and inviting, while the simplified text made the information easier to navigate. The project was also shared on Vernye Slova’s social media, giving our work an opportunity to reach its intended audience.Исходный размер 1626x1332
