Commercial & Conteptual design

Most commercial streetwear is safe and forgettable. Most conceptual fashion is beautiful and unsellable.
I work in the space between: products that move units and carry an idea. My portfolio combines creative and commercial projects. In each case, I strike the right balance between conceptual thinking, trend analysis, and understanding the target audience, depending on the brief. I’m skilled at translating big ideas into market‑ready products and building collections that sell while staying intellectually grounded and conceptually strong.

Open for collaborations, creative capsule development and trend-driven design commissions.

Project 1. «Entre les rues» capsule

Brief: Developing a clothing capsule for the streetwear brand Bruler d’Amour. The range is meant for everyday wear: versatile pieces with interesting details and techniques that invite customers to take a closer look. The brand’s target audience is young people in major Russian cities who follow trends and choose comfortable clothing. They value premium quality and thoughtful details, but they’re also fairly conservative: they like classic streetwear and aren’t into overly bold solutions. They want everyday pieces that fit easily into their wardrobe without needing complex styling.Concept: The unifying theme of the collection is the inspiration drawn from the big city. The city transforms a person: its movement, rhythm, and architecture shape the body, behavior, and overall look. The individual becomes part of the urban environment, and the clothing reflects this interaction — combining functionality, freedom, and the individuality of street style. In this capsule, we’re working with street style in a very literal way.

Solution: The capsule features a variety of textures and techniques — this is what makes streetwear interesting and ties it to our theme. Taking cues from worn walls, concrete, asphalt, and the eclectic structure of the city, we’ve created voluminous appliqués, distressed effects, and deconstruction details on the garments. For the logos, we’re using bold puff prints; some pieces feature double ribbing, and for one of the zip‑up hoodies, we’ve even turned the fleece inside out. The capsule also incorporates the current trend for camouflage and a slightly raw, effortless aesthetic.

Project 2. «Vector bloom»

Brief: Creating a compact, cohesive clothing capsule with a strong focus on conceptual design and in‑depth research.Concept: The digital age calls for a clean, simple visual language. Volumes become flatter, information is simplified through coding, and computers systematize and smooth out visuals, stripping away noise and excess. At the same time, as digitalization grows, there’s a rising appreciation for the old, the handmade, and the deliberately imperfect. In this project, I explore the interplay between the digital and the analog, the modern and the vintage.

Solution: The chosen concept aligns with the current cultural and visual context. The core design idea revolves around working with digital space—specifically, screens and vectors. It’s about translating flatness and «screen‑like» qualities into three‑dimensional form as a reflection of the digital world. The capsule includes both more runway‑oriented and more commercial pieces. For example, the motif of curved planes is reinterpreted on a smaller scale in a jacket, making it suitable for influencer shoots, events, and even more everyday settings.

Project 3. «Le chaos»

Brief: Developing a clothing capsule for the streetwear brand Bruler d’Amour. The brand’s target audience is young people in major Russian cities who follow trends and prioritize comfort in their clothing. They value premium quality and thoughtful details, but they’re also fairly conservative: they appreciate classic streetwear and aren’t drawn to overly bold solutions. They want everyday pieces that fit naturally into their wardrobe without requiring complex styling.Concept: The main theme of the capsule is an artist’s studio — the creative process, the surrounding environment, and the sketches that fill the space.

Solution: The capsule builds on a classic streetwear lineup. The prints feature a mix of chaotic sketches and hand‑drawn graphics. Many pieces also incorporate a washed/acid‑wash effect that gives them a vintage, slightly worn look. Cargo pants and garments with metal clasps are included, referencing workwear designed for messy, physical tasks — just like what artists wear while working. Thanks to a straightforward assortment and understated tweaks, the capsule remains highly wearable. It also integrates trends relevant at the time of its creation: metal fire‑style clasps, stand collars, and vintage aesthetics.

Project 4. «2nd skin»

Brief: Creating a conceptual clothing capsule centered around the overarching theme of endemic species.Concept: The project explores the isolation and non‑contact nature of endemic species as their defining trait. Their limited habitat creates a protective shell that acts as a «second skin.» The slightest contact with the outside world can trigger contamination and lead to the breakdown of this shell, highlighting the fragility and vulnerability of endemic creatures.

Solution: The bodily presence and vulnerability become the central ideas of the project. To mimic the «second skin, ” we used a fabric made from liquid latex, crafted entirely by hand. The meticulously detailed texture creates the effect of the body being overtaken or „infected.“ For commercial use, we’ve developed stylized versions of the pieces that retain the core concept while being more wearable.

Work process and methods

I take a holistic approach to design: I create garments that reflect the current context and support the brand’s overall narrative. I also work as an art director and can help you with brand positioning, branding, and shoot production. I’m experienced in leading teams, meeting deadlines, and overseeing the entire product development cycle—from concept to production launch.Every project is grounded in in‑depth research. I study the collection’s source material, identify its key traits and visual characteristics, and translate them into the language of clothing and design. I work with collage techniques and create prints and textile treatments myself.
